Biography
Bob the Tomato is the host and main protagonist of the Christian-themed animated series VeggieTales. He is a friendly, if sometimes high-strung, tomato who, alongside his best friend Larry the Cucumber, teaches children valuable life lessons and biblical stories.
Early Start
Bob first appeared in a 1992 screen test for VeggieTales, where he delivered an inspirational speech. He officially became the host of VeggieTales in 1993.
Challenges Overcome
Bob often struggles with frustration and a need for control when things don't go according to his plans. He has to learn to be patient and work with his more silly and spontaneous friends.
