Dave Ramsey is an American radio personality, author, and businessman. He is the host of the nationally syndicated radio program The Ramsey Show, where he offers financial advice. He is also the founder and CEO of Ramsey Solutions.
Early Start
Ramsey's parents were in the real estate business, and he started buying and selling property at age 18 while in college.
Challenges Overcome
After building a real estate portfolio of over $4 million, Ramsey's lender was sold and the new owners demanded immediate repayment. Unable to pay, he filed for bankruptcy in 1988.
