Biography
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a prolific and influential composer of the Classical period. Born in Salzburg, Austria, he showed prodigious ability from his earliest childhood. He composed in every major genre, including symphony, opera, the solo concerto, chamber music, and the piano sonata.
Early Start
A child prodigy, Mozart began composing at the age of five and performed before European royalty. His father, Leopold, a composer and violinist, was his teacher.
