Robin Lee Graham was 16 when he set out to sail around the world alone in 1965. He completed his voyage at age 21, becoming the youngest person to circumnavigate solo.
Early Start
Graham learned to sail as a child in California. At 16, he convinced his parents to let him attempt a solo circumnavigation in a 24-foot sloop.
