Sven Magnus Øen Carlsen is a Norwegian chess grandmaster and five-time World Chess Champion. He has held the highest chess rating in history and is widely considered the greatest chess player of all time.
Early Start
Magnus learned chess at age 5 from his father. By age 8, he was beating adults. He became a grandmaster at 13, one of the youngest ever at the time.
