Biography
Jordan Romero is an American mountaineer who became the youngest person to climb Mount Everest at age 13 and the youngest to complete the Seven Summits (highest peak on each continent) at age 15.
Early Start
Jordan saw a mural of the Seven Summits in his school hallway at age 9 and decided to climb them all. He summited his first major peak, Kilimanjaro, at age 10.
Challenges Overcome
Jordan faced criticism that he was too young for such dangerous climbs. He had to prove his physical and mental readiness through years of training and smaller climbs before attempting Everest.
