Rod Campbell (born May 4, 1945) is a Scottish writer and illustrator of several popular children's books, most notably the bestselling "Dear Zoo." He has been writing and illustrating children's books for over forty years. Born in Scotland, he was raised in Zimbabwe and returned to Britain, where he completed a doctorate in organic chemistry before pursuing a career in children's literature.
